Opened in July 2022, rEvolve in West Asheville is a gently used and vintage buy-sell-trade shop for all genders and sizes. They’re also known for vintage home goods (we love the funky art selection) and locally made wares.
The shop is owned and run by Emily Quinn and her partner Alex, along with a team of friendly in-store staff. It’s a beautiful and sunny space, and they have some pretty great neighbors too, with Trashy Vegan and the new Chai Pani restaurant just moved in on the corner, so if you need a meal after you shop, you’re covered.
Overview:
What’s the vibe?
Expect a well-curated selection of vintage (lots of 60s/70s) and new pieces for all genders. They have a particularly solid denim collection. One thing we love about this shop is that the racks are never overstuffed - you can browse easily and see each item.
The vibe is light and bright, and you can expect a great seasonal selection, like shorts (and jorts) in the spring/summer, while awesome coats can be found in the fall and winter.
This is an LGBTQIA+ safe and supportive space, woman-owned, survivor-led, community-focused and inclusive.
Unique qualities
rEvolve hosts standup comedy nights and a music series called Secret Sounds - follow them on Instagram for details and dates.
They have a little section of the shop that’s set up for kid’s activities, so you can keep your little ones entertained while you look around. You also may get lucky and meet shop mascot and all-around good dog, Dolly. She’s a black lab who you may find lounging in the sun, or sniffing around new merch.
When to shop + sell
Hours: Daily, 11-6pm.
Also, Wheel Wednesdays! On Wednesdays, you can spin a prize wheel for 5-20% off your purchase, or rEvolve donates to Helpmate.
For selling to rEvolve, they currently offer walk-ins for trade Mon-Fri and cash buys via appointment (set one up on their website). Check their Instagram bio for the latest updates, and they share more details in their stories.
Our finds from rEvolve
We’ve gotten a few great pieces from rEvolve, like a floral (might we say a little cottage-core?!) dress, one of our fave shawls for summer (can we resist velvet? No, no we cannot), a truly one-of-a-kind safari shopping cart/bag, and one of my personal favorite pieces of holiday decor that I will treasure forever, the ceramic Christmas tree.
Accessibility + parking
rEvolve has its own free lot which we love. There are handicap spaces and no stairs required to enter the building, and in the warmer months the doors are usually wide open. The dressing rooms are spacious and two have chairs, the third has a wide bench.
They have a bathroom!
How to pay + return policy
You can pay with cash or card, and sales are final, no returns.
